One minute meditation to change negitive momentums
I want to discuss the power of meditation in breaking momentum. We often experience momentum in life—one day leads to the next, then to another week, and eventually to another month. Usually, one month feels quite similar to the last, all due to this momentum.
We also experience momentum in our thoughts; one thought can lead to another, creating a chain reaction. Similarly, emotions can gain momentum. For instance, feelings of sadness or frustration can linger from one day to the next, still present upon waking up. If we unconsciously feed these emotions with our thoughts and actions, we may find ourselves stuck in a cycle we don’t want to be in.
This is where 1 minute meditation can serve as a powerful tool. It provides an opportunity to break the momentum of these unwanted patterns and to cultivate momentum in a direction that aligns with our goals.Â
One minute mindfulness meditation can become a pivotal moment in our day when we choose to pause, reflect, and shift our perspective. By paying careful attention to ourselves—observing our thoughts, actions, and feelings, as well as the physical state of our bodies and the energy surrounding us—we create space for change.Â
The more we practice this self-observation in one minute meditation, the more we open ourselves up to new possibilities. If you find yourself experiencing specific thought patterns or emotional states, pausing to meditate can be a powerful way to regain control.Â
By observing your thoughts as they arise, you can allow them to dissipate, creating space for a new way of thinking. This is a pivotal point in your mental process. Never underestimate the power of our attention; it can lead to transformative change.
The same applies to emotions. If you notice yourself feeling upset or have been holding onto that feeling for days without it shifting, 1 minute calming meditation can help you break that cycle.Â
1 minute meditation for beginners gives you the opportunity to explore the origin of these emotions and how they affect your body. Ask yourself if you want to continue experiencing these emotions. If you dont then meditate and let yourself change your focus and become present in life.Â
During meditation, we create space for thoughts and feelings to arise without judgment. It's important not to suppress or ignore what's already present within you. If stress or negative feelings are running through your body, simply pretending they don't exist will not help.Â
Instead, in an emotional intelligence meditation, we let them emerge and healthily express themselves. Sitting with difficult emotions in a healing meditation practice can help clear any accumulated tension that these emotions create in our bodies.Â
Meditation can take many forms. You may enter a meditative state while gardening, drawing, writing, or even just sitting quietly. In any activity, allowing thoughts and emotions to surface can help cleanse your body of lingering patterns.
Throughout life, we encounter various situations that can create emotional and thought-driven momentum. This is why starting a meditation practice that includes doing short meditations throughout the day can help break those unhealthy patterns.Â
For example, if you disagree with a colleague, you may find yourself preoccupied with it days later, as it triggers underlying feelings. However, through meditation, you can observe these thoughts and gain insight into whether they are thoughts you wish to continue entertaining.
Ultimately, we aim to take conscious and creative control of our minds, directing them back to their natural state, where they serve as tools for our radiant being, rather than letting them run wild with unproductive patterns.
You know, we are radiant beings. We are not meant to bend, twist, or alter ourselves to fit a pattern that is already in place. Instead, we create the patterns ourselves. We determine the patterns that we run in our lives.Â
Unfortunately, many of the patterns we have developed come from our upbringing, the families we are born into, the communities we live in, and the experiences we encounter. Both positive and negative experiences affect us and can create patterns in our lives.Â
There is nothing inherently wrong with having patterns; that’s simply part of life. However, we have the power to choose which patterns we want to keep and which ones we want to discard. This is where the value of meditation comes in.Â
Through meditation, we can achieve conscious control—not to control the self, but to observe the mind and let it work for us as a tool. This way, we can make the progress we desire and live the life we envision. Taking the time to pause and break momentum is crucial. It's essential to permit ourselves to interrupt streams of thinking, feeling, and habitual behaviors.Â
When we stop and ask ourselves: “What are we doing? What results are these habits bringing us? How do they make us feel? Are these feelings and thoughts that we want to continue having?” we can start to identify what we truly want. If we find ourselves stuck, that awareness is the first step toward making a change.
Sometimes, simply observing is enough to initiate change, while other times, deeper internal reflection may be required. However, it is worth the time to engage in this daily meditation practice, which includes short mindfulness moments throughout the day.Â
Remember, our personalities are not fixed; they are malleable. We can create ourselves and the energy we embody. There is immense power in that realization, and meditation can open the door to this transformation.
Thank you so much for joining me. Enjoy the meditations and allow them to guide you in breaking free from the patterns you wish to change and in creating wonderful new ones.
Much Warmth, Kim Owen
