how to .....guidance
Jan 15, 2026We have an emotional guidance system that provides us with the intuitive intelligence we need to make the right choices for ourselves.
Our emotional center is where our intuition comes from. It's when you have a gut feeling about someone, or a bad feeling that something is going to happen. Those are examples of our intuition that comes from our emotions.
That's why we want to use emotion meditations, the power of our intention, and breathwork to work with the essential information that we receive from the wisdom of our bodies and our emotional intelligence.
One of the positive aspects of our emotions is that they serve as a guidance system for us. They help us understand how we truly feel about something and act as intuition to guide us. They reveal how we perceive an event, a person, or an experience. Generally, our emotions and gut feelings reflect what we are thinking, feeling, or believing about a particular situation.
The healthier we are emotionally, the more reliable our emotional guidance system becomes, allowing us to trust it more. Being emotionally healthy means that we don't carry a lot of stored, old energy or patterns in our emotional body and system. The more present we are, the healthier our emotional guidance system will be, enabling us to rely on it.
In a meditation practice for emotional self-regulation, we can observe our emotions without judgment, allowing us to sit with difficult emotions, so we can accept what we feel and then let it go. During guided meditation, you can breathe out the heavy, dense, unwanted emotions.
Meditation allows us to discern whether our feelings are genuine guidance, indicating what is appropriate, real, and accurate for us, or if they stem from old emotional patterns. By doing so, we can begin to cleanse our emotional system and gain a deeper understanding of the guidance our emotions provide. This is part of emotional intelligence, and this is precisely what I teach in my meditation course for emotional regulation.
I provide instructions on releasing disempowering emotions and cultivating love, peace, joy, and stillness. I have set up 50 guided meditations on an emotional scale, ranging from the heaviest emotions of fear and despair to love and joy. I also provide you with sacral chakra meditations to help clear your subtle energy bodies of stored emotions and strengthen your intuition chakra so that you can trust your intuition.

An intuitive example would be: let's say you are progressing through a project and suddenly feel very upset without understanding why; that upset serves as an indicator. It could reflect heightened awareness of something or highlight an intuition about what is happening—something your conscious mind might not yet recognize. Alternatively, the upset might arise from encountering a limiting belief, an old stored destructive emotional pattern, an intuition of the feelings of others, or the heaviness of the space you are in.
When we find ourselves in this situation and are unsure of the source of our upset, meditating can be helpful. It helps us to control our emotions by becoming a witness of them and by breathing into the feeling of upset and releasing any residual energy, we can allow the emotion to surface and reveal its true nature. You might realize, "Oh, I'm heading in the wrong direction. I should consider a different approach." The feeling of upset becomes an indicator of your thoughts, allowing you to address potential issues before they escalate.
It's essential to recognize that our emotional guidance system is a valuable tool, serving as an inner compass to help us make better decisions. We can connect with our emotional system through meditation by acknowledging the nature of our emotions and what they are indicating to us.
It’s important to appreciate that the feelings are highlighting something you may not be consciously aware of. We need to become aware of our emotions as a guidance system, utilizing them as a healthy tool to determine what is right or wrong for us; this is what is meant by emotional regulation.
If you want to feel fulfilled in life, achieve balance, and cultivate the success and relationships you desire, one practical approach is to learn to tolerate emotions and sit with painful ones. This involves connecting with different facets of ourselves and accepting ourselves, which can be achieved through a meditation practice. We can use our intuition and conscious reasoning to guide us towards understanding our true selves and our values.
When we’re out of alignment with our values, our emotions often signal that something needs to be addressed. There may be times when you think everything is fine, but you might feel differently subconsciously. Your feelings can provide insight into these more profound thoughts and help you reassess your values and decisions.
If you discover that you are indeed out of alignment, you now have the opportunity to reflect, make new decisions, and explore different directions. After making any necessary adjustments, you may find that you can move forward with a positive outlook. It’s essential to become very aware of what’s happening within yourself because this is your life. These are your emotions, and they represent your life experiences. We want to allow emotions to serve as the healthy tools they are meant to be—to guide, instruct, and show us the way.
